Ecological Macroeconomics and Food System Sustainability: Foundations and holistic modelling approaches

24/09/2025

The «Faculty of Social Sciences, in conjunction with EcoNet LATAM, RUEESnexus and the MUST4Wter project, is organising the event ‘Ecological Macroeconomics and Food System Sustainability: Foundations and holistic modelling approaches’, which will take place on Wednesday, 1 October, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., in the 9th floor room of the Social Sciences Complex. The activity is exclusively for the PUCP community (undergraduate and postgraduate students and faculty).

Holistic models for food system sustainability represent a crucial field of application. By integrating biophysical limits, territorial inequalities, and consumption patterns, these models offer a systemic framework to evaluate trade-offs and synergies between urban and rural dynamics, dietary transitions, and ecological resilience.
